Backer Rod helps prepare deep cracks and expansion joints before applying sealant. Simply press the flexible foam rod into the joint or crack, then apply sealant over the top. It helps control the depth of the sealant, reducing wasted material and helping create a better, longer-lasting repair.

The closed-cell foam design is flexible, compressible and won’t absorb water, making it ideal for use in concrete cracks, expansion joints, pavement joints, window and door perimeters, copings and other sealing projects.

Backer rod also helps prevent 3-sided adhesion, allowing the sealant to move properly as the joint expands and contracts. Measures 3/4" diameter x 20 ft.
