Our hefty 15 AMP Chipper/Shredder turns a big task into a small chore. Easily reduce 10 bags of yard waste into a single bag—great for composting! Chipper accepts branches up to 1¾" in diameter. Included tamper tool lets you safely push less cooperative debris through the hopper and into the 1.2 bushel collection bin. Two 7" dia. wheels provide great mobility. Operates on 120v; 12" pigtail power cord. Measures approximately 42"h x 18"w x 20"d and weighs 30lb. Great design for a small electric machine. Rolls around the yard with an extension cord and let's you mulch the limbs right where they fell or were cut. You get a feel for how much the blades can handle and much like a circular saw, if you listen to the blade rotating and ease up when the blade slows down, you will avoid clogs and maintenance time. I love thiss chipper.

Electric chipper/shredder
The assembly and use instructions were clear. It is a great value for back yard clean up as compared to the. $700 plus shredders that are available in this area (they are too big to be practical for yard cleanup). Thank you.

You have to be cautious not to jamb it with pieces too large in diameter.

How well does this work at mulching leaves?
will it shred paper?
I haven't tried shredding paper with it. I had good luck with sticks and small branches and some leaves. Where I ran into issues was with vines and very small branches with lots of leaves. I suspect it would work on cardboard but may not give you the degree of shredding you want for documents with personal information. It does not shred that fine.
Will this shred tomato or sunflower stems?
Never shredded anything less than shoots from bushes or small saplings. Don’t see why it wouldn’t handle stems as it shreds leaves on branches fine. It’s pretty versatile, handles limbs up to the diameter specified.
Is it plastic or metal do the threading?
The blades that do the shredding/mulching are metal.
