I was able to eliminate annoying floor board squeaks in the master bedroom, guest bedroom and the study. The screw guide worked
really well, setting the scored screw at the proper depth so the screw head could broken off leaving no trace of the screw on the surface of the rug!

Squeaky Floor No More!
I must admit, I was a little skeptical this would work on my squeaky floors but I was wrong.
I tried this as a last resort to crawling back under the house and trying again to stop my nuisance flooring.
The tool was very easy to use and worked 100%

Really works - on hard wood or carpeted floors. It an amazingly easy way to get rid of those annoying squeaks. So glad I found it!

This tool works on Hardwood floors?
Yes - it does. Most amazing tool ever. Nothing like getting rid of those squeaks!!
How do you use this on hard wood floors?
I wouldn’t. I might would if I can access the hardwood floorOmg from underneath, through the subflooring. (ie. If it’s over a basement or crawl space.)

I don't know when your house was built but there has to be some kind of sub floor. The Vinyl has to be stuck to some surface. Besides it is the sub floor that is making the squeaks anyway. The squeaks are caused by the sub floor rubbing up and down on the NAILS that were used to secure the sub floor to the JOISTS. What this kit does is allow you to put a screw thru the sub floor into the JOISTS to tighten the sub floor up against the JOISTS.
Is the kit metal made?
The triangular piece that you use as a guide is hardened plastic. All other items (screws etc) are metal. I had no issues and it worked as advertised.
We have laminated flooring. Will this system work on laminate?
I used it on carpet. A screw goes through the floor and into one of the joists below the floor. Then the screwhead is broken off. Everything is nicely hidden in the carpet. I think going through laminate will leave an unsightly hole and the broken end of the screw showing.
