Effective and decorative

These Solar Mosquito Lights stake into the ground anywhere in your yard and absorb the sun’s energy to eradicate over 100 varieties of flying insects. The UV bulb turns on automatically at dusk and lures mosquitoes, flies, and other insects, to eliminate them instantly with an electric charge, providing chemical-free bug protection for up to eight hours on a full charge. A grate surrounds the bulbs to discourage curious fingers and protect wayward pets. Change from UV lights to accent lights with the switch of a button—when bug season ends, they can be changed from zappers to decorative lights. Set of two. Measures about 16 1/2"h x 5 1/2" dia.

Awesome
The bug zapper really looks great in my yard. I was having trouble with mosquitoes and other flying insects. I haven’t seen a bug sense I put them out.

Happy
Unfortunately It took about five days for me to find the on and off button. I kept pushing the button where the battery was located. It will help if instructions would highlight button. Hopefully, others will not have a hard time finding the button.

After that episode, the lights are beautiful.

If you're looking to catch a few mosquitos every night, these work okay. If you're looking to catch dozens, get a trap with a fan that sucks them in when they get close.
They do an okay job. Don't catch dozens of mosquitos each night, but at least the ones they catch aren't around to bite me. Make a nice patio light.

I purchased two sets (4 lights total). Only 3 of the lights function.

Works well but only in limited situations.
The product appears to have an undersized solar panel, and unless you can place it in a position where it receives 100% full sun, the light/bug zapper time will be quite short. The one light that I could place in a full sun position worked well when we had 12 hours/day of sunlight (and lots of bugs!), but as the sunlight hours reduced, the operating time fell off steeply. The good news is that there were fewer bugs too!

Good for a full sunlight position, where the main reason for purchasing is to minimize bugs during the high summer season.
