Fit perfectly
I installed approximately 25' of the covers in under an hour. Once you get the hang of how they clip, super easy to do. Look great.

Do these guards have to be tucked under? I have a metal roof .

Yes, they do have slide under the bottom run of the shingles.

I have a metal roof on a storage shed. Do these guards have to be tucked under to secure them?

yes, They need to be tucked underneath the shingles... metal or otherwise.

Do these guards need to be tucked under shingles? ........I have a metal roof.

Yes they do have to be tucked under the shingles to hold in place and I went the step further and screwed them in on the front lip. All is working just fine.

How long is each piece, or what length will the 5 pcs cover?

4’ sections for a total of 20’. Easy to work with & cut.

Will it work on metal roof?

They didn't work for me; don't remember why; so I repurposed them as mini-gutters to divert rain from my front porch. Basically I flipped them over and slid them under my shingles; which brings us to your question. You have to be able to slide them under the shingles regardless of roofing material. Thanks for reminding me that I have spares.
