This Platform provides a stable base for standing or to set up a ladder in areas where stairs make it almost impossible to reach high walls for painting, hanging decorations, changing light bulbs, and checking smoke alarms.

Made for use on stairs

This Platform provides a stable base for standing or to set up a ladder in areas where stairs make it almost impossible to reach high walls for painting, hanging decorations, changing light bulbs, and checking smoke alarms. Simply adjust the Step Scaffold Platform's telescoping legs so the base is level with the stairs. The built-in level allows the platform to be easily adjusted and the four soft slip-resistant rubber feet make sure the Platform is secure and stable on different floor coverings. The non-slip working surface is integrated into a sturdy aluminum frame for a sure footing. This versatile Platform comes pre-assembled for immediate use, both inside and outside the home. Platform surface measures about 35"l x 22"w. When folded, Platform is easily stored as it measures 37"l x 28"w x 2"d and weighs only 20 lb. Perfect for use on straight staircases, two-quarter-turn staircases, quarter-turn staircases, half-turn staircases, and stairs with landing. 330 lb. weight capacity.

The safest purchase for me
The best purchase I have ever made in the past 10 years. If you are a DIYer, you can't afford to go without this item. Perfect for hard to reach areas where stairs are in the way. I feel safe, secure and I get the job done with minimal effort. I may not use this all the time. I will definitely be renting it out if someone needs to use it. Why? Because it's an investment.

What is the adjustment range on the telescoping legs?

The adjustable legs can be extended an additional 12" and they are adjustable individually so if you are adjusting them for uneven ground, there can be as much as a 12" difference right to left and you will still be able to level the platform.

Is this safe for electrician to change out lighting?

I use it underneath an aluminum ladder to change light bulbs on a chandelier hanging over a stairwell. I can't vouch for other uses, however an experienced electrician would be aware of the proper precautions to take should structural and insulation limits be challenged.
