Our Wireless Digital Rain Gauge is so accurate, it records each thousandth of an inch (.001) of rainfall. Records rainfall up to 99.999 inches. Liquid crystal display is readable from ten feet away. Rain Gauge is self-emptying; water droplets flow through, are counted, then exit through the bottom, so no need to worry about freezing. No wiring or installation required—simply place on a flat surface, or opt for the Universal Mounting Bracket. One-touch reset button allows tracking of annual, monthly or storm-by-storm rainfall totals. Measures 5 1/4"h x 4 1/2" dia.; runs on one AA battery.

New toy.
This is John's brother-in-law. He loves it. He got it just in time for a major storm, and continually checks the rainfall totals. How long will the obsession last? I don't know, but he's having fun.

after years of forgetting to take my regular rain gauge inside before a freeze (they break) I can finally get all of the readings from rain & snow without worrying about the gauge breaking. Easy to install and easy to read.

Pros: Works exactly as advertised. No set up or calibration required. Accurate. I like the fact that you don't have to dump water out of it. Just hit the reset button if you don't want an accumulated rainfall reading. It shouldn't be subject to freezing as it does not hold water. Cons: The numbers are a bit small and hard to read from any distance.

Digital Rain Gauge
It has only rained twice since it was installed so durability cannot be assessed now. The numbers giving the amount of rain could be better lighted not so sheltered. After the first rain the bowl had drops of rain on its surface which had not been registered.
Perhaps a wetting agent should be employed

Third times the charm
I have had 3 of these rain guages and given several as gifts. I like them, but find they don't last very long before they are no longer accurate.
